At times, Victoria seems unusually close and the building outlines are visible from the inn’s bluff. It’s actually just under 20 miles across the Strait of Juan de Fuca to the southern tip of Vancouver Island. At night the lights of Victoria often backlight the inn from the webcam view. Guests at the inn enjoy the night lights from afar without any interference for stargazing. Apparently there’s still a border dispute between Canada and the United States. Canada wants it settled as the submarine trench whereas the United States wants it equidistanced. Guests don’t need to worry about any battles along the strait taking place over the issue!
