Ever wonder what it takes to get a great picture? Often danger lurks in those lofty attempts to secure a rare view. No doubt, bones have been broken and lives have been snuffed out trying to get that perfect scene.
Years ago, while hunting up in the Yukon on the far side of Lake Kluane and up a fjord called Talbot Arm, I nearly slipped off a mossy mountain ledge on the back side of a waterfall. A fall would have brought about mortal injuries and my life would have been over. I’m thankful for my guardian angel who was nearby. I still get a cold sweat thinking about it.
There’s an interesting story behind this picture of Lake Crescent from Storm King Mountain: http://annagouznova.wordpress.com/2009/05/22/storm-king-and-his-mistress-crescent/.
We want our guests at George Washington Inn to make it back safely!
Thot to Ponder: “The horse is prepared against the day of battle: but safety is of the LORD.” Proverbs 21:31
