Port Angeles is the place to be! Every time the tall ships arrive, a sense of wonder at these beautiful “works of wind-powered art” captivates the attention of old and young alike. People are drawn down to the harbor to marvel at the tall masts and the glistening hulls of these ageless beauties.
You don’t want to miss the mock battles will be staged this weekend. These amazing tall ships will be in Port Angeles for almost a week before they sail off to the nearby John Wayne Marina, just east of Sequim, and points beyond. Front row seats are available at George Washington Inn, a Port Angeles and Sequim bed and breakfast inn, if you want to book a memorable getaway and catch their departure.
Here’s a local newspaper’s (Peninsula Daily News) coverage of their visit: http://peninsuladailynews.com/article/20100414/news/304149993.
On Thursday you can write about being Page 1 in the PDN with the TV celeb!
The best to both of you,
JOHN
Thanks John for the great exposure! Glad we’re being discovered up here. There’s so much to share on our beautiful peninsula.
