Peninsula Daily News Article “Echoes of George Washington”
Washington State Patrol troopers assigned to the North Olympic Peninsula picked the George Washington Inn, a unique bed and breakfast between Sequim and Port Angeles for a recent group photo. The B&B, built and owned by Dan and Janet Abbott, is a replica of the first president’s plantation home in Mount Vernon, Va. The inn overlooks the Strait of Juan de Fuca and hosts guests for relaxation, weddings, honeymoons, and retreats. From the left are troopers Mark Hodgson; Grant Clark; Russ Sanders; Allen Nelson; Sgt. Brett Yaklin; and troopers Ken Ahrens; Don Field; John Ryan; and Keith Nestor.
